The second basement of Teruru
I came down with Margaret.
“Lat, sosha, play, builder.” (Margaret)

Margaret called out in a hushed whisper, and the four knights appeared, as ever, out of nowhere.
Their appearance seemed all the more abrupt because of their reduced capacity.
“I’ll be doing dungeon crawling with Ryouta-sama for a while, no matter what, don’t bother me.” (Margaret)
“”Yes””
After a short, hesitant reply, the four disappeared without a sound.
“Well, let us proceed then.” (Margaret)
“Yes, let’s go from here.” (Ryouta)
Teruru is the most familiar dungeon.
It’s the kind of dungeon where you can’t get lost, where you can see the structure even with your eyes closed.
I lead the way and we start walking.
After a short walk, we soon encountered a monster.
It was the Sleeping Slime, a monster from the second basement of Teruru, with sleepy eyes.
“I’ll go.” (Margaret)
“Eh” (Ryouta)
Completely unexpected behaviour.
As soon as she encountered the sleeping slime, Margaret dragged her big sword and bravely jumped into the sleeping slime.
It was all right, though.
On the way, she tripped, made a pitter-pattering sound and fell flat on her face to the ground.

Suddenly, I couldn’t move.
Margaret, who had fallen, didn’t move either, and even the sleeping slime remained stationary with a sorry look on its face.
“Ouchie……” (Margaret)
The silence was finally broken by Margaret herself.
She got up and rubbed her red nose with tears in her eyes.
She was in a natural “girl-sitting” pose, rubbing her nose with it.
It’s so cute, even in this situation.
The sleepy slime also started to move, hitting Margaret as she ran into it.
I pulled out my gun —- but I couldn’t pull the trigger.
It was a normal bullet.
It was something that could take down a sleeping slime in one hit, but its ability has been reduced and its hit rate has dropped dramatically.
And when you look at it from a plane, Margaret and the sleeping slime are half overlapping.

Margaret remained girl-sitting and held up her large sword to prevent the sleeping slime from hitting her.
The force of the attack caused her to lose her balance again, this time falling on her buttocks.
But the sleeping slime, which had been repelled, was far away from her.

I aimed at the sleeping slime and pulled the trigger in rapid succession.
I fired a full volley of regular bullets from my two pistols.
More than ten bullets shot through the sleeping slime, dropping the same old Ryouta carrot.

I rushed over to Margaret and grabbed her hand to wake her up.

Margaret looked kind of happy.
“It went well, didn’t it” (Margaret)

I’m the swordsman and Ryouta-sama is the gun.
I’m the vanguard, and Ryouta-sama is the rearguard.
I’m glad it worked so well.” (Margaret)
“Oh ……” (Ryouta)
I see what you mean.
I can certainly say that …… it went well.
I’m kind of reluctant to put Margaret in the vanguard.
Like for what she fell down earlier, she’s not very good at vanguards.
…… Well, now she and I are exactly the same in terms of status.
It’s very natural for different weapons to determine the formation.
So I put my gun away.
Then I pulled a bamboo spear out of my Grand Eater’s pocket.
“What’s that” (Margaret)
“I think it’s the first time Margaret has seen this.
It was the first weapon I ever used.” (Ryouta)

I nodded and looked at the bamboo spear.
After I broke it before, I had it repaired.
I didn’t use it because I got a gun from Hagreymono soon after, but it was the first weapon Emily gave me, and I kept it for a long time.
After I got the pocket of the Grand Eater, I kept it with me, even though I never used it.
It’s like a talisman of sorts.
“Here, we’ll fight in the vanguard together.” (Ryouta)
“Together” (Margaret)
“Together.” (Ryouta)
“…… pop.” (Margaret)
Margaret’s cheeks flushed, she looked happy about something.
“Yes, we’ll do well together.” (Margaret)
“Yeap.” (Ryouta)
We walked through the dungeon again, shoulder to shoulder.
When I encountered the Sleeping Slime, I was the first to jump out.
Our abilities are the same, our weapons are the same for close combat.
Then it’s just a matter of appearance.
If you’re asking who should go in first, Margaret or I, it’s definitely me.
I’ll go in and take them down when I can, and when I can’t, I’ll induce a breath of sleep the day after tomorrow, and Margaret, who comes in a breath later, will take them down.
It’s a good combination for a hastily made one.

When I pierced the sleeping slime with my bamboo spear, to my surprise, a gate appeared instead of a carrot.
“What…..is this” (Margaret)
“Do you want to go in ……” (Ryouta)
“Yes!” (Margaret)
Margaret nodded vigorously, and we went through the gate.
The scenery changed dramatically.
The type of view I had seen before, that room.
“Welcome.”
I turned to the gentle voice and saw a small – like a little Zashiki child, a lovely grandmotherly person there.
“Teruru-san” (Margaret)
The other side smiled, again calmly.
