“Here you go.”
In the city of Shikuro, I went to my favourite bar, Villa De Edge.
It’s one of my favourite places in Shikuro, specialising in different kinds of beer.
Today they had a “smoked beer” in stock, so I ordered it, and sure enough, there was a hint of smoked chips in the regular beer.
I like the coffee beer I usually drink, but I think I’m going to like this one more.
“This place always comes up with something interesting, doesn’t it” (Neptune)
That’s Neptune with the foam under his nose as he talks.
He ordered a “strawberry beer”.
I’ve had orange and tangerine beers before, and on a more unusual trip to the tropics I had mango and pineapple beers.
Compared to these, strawberry beer is something …… I can’t imagine.
It’s not only the word “strawberry” that comes to mind, but also the fact that I love strawberries in shortcake.
When someone says “strawberry beer”, I think “that’s not quite right”.
“Is it good” (Ryouta)
Would you like a sip” (Neptune)
“It’s ours.” (Ran)
Ran and Lil, sitting on either side of me, interrupted.
Lil’s reaction was particularly strong, and she snatched up the glass of beer Neptune had offered her and chugged it, looking up at the ceiling.
“Oh, you’re a good drinker, aren’t you That’s Lil for you.” (Neptune)
“Hmm, that’s nothing to worry about.” (Lil)
“Hey, what do you want to order next” (Ryouta))
“Well, do you want a tomato beer or a sweet potato beer” (Neptune)
He flirted right in front of me.
As I’ve discovered recently, Neptune sometimes throws two choices at Ran and Lil.
The choices are many and varied.
If you had to choose, would you rather have a dog or a cat To the warlike question of whether to put soy sauce on a fried egg.
In his spare time, he asks them to choose between the two.
He’s been doing this for a long time, I hear, but lately I’ve seen him do it more often.
And every time he does, Ran and Lil always reply, “Both” or “Neither”.
“…… It’s a kind of ritual.” (Ryouta)
“Yeah Did you just say something” (Neptune)
“No, I said this beer is good.” (Ryouta)
Well, I’ve got what you asked for.” (Neptune)
Neptune said, taking something from his pocket and placing it on the table.
A cracked stone.
It was an extremely valuable item in the vortex, and this was a crowded tavern.
And yet, Neptune took it out and put it on the table without a care in the world.
“You really can put it out in the open” (Ryouta)
“It’s nothing to hide, you know.” (Neptune)
“Well …… thank you, that’s very helpful.” (Ryouta)
“That’s my line.
Thanks to you, we got ours cheap.” (Neptune)
Neptune grinned out of the corner of his mouth.
If you look closely, you can see the rings on Ran and Lil’s hands.
It was the same ring that had been worn on both Ran and Lil’s ring fingers, the one that increased their attack power.
“You’re early, you got it already” (Ryouta)
You’ve paved the way for me.
It’s a little late to be second best.” (Neptune)
Neptune said without hesitation.
The cracked stone.
Thanks to the rumours (and facts) spread by Elza and her team, the price increase, which at one time seemed to be a ceiling, has completely stopped.
In addition, the price has dropped to about half of the peak price —– although it still costs 20 to 30 million piro.
I was going to get it for that price, but if I made a move, Elza and her team’s plan would be ruined.
So I asked Neptune.
Although they profess to be part of the Ryouta family, they don’t really work with me, and more importantly, Ran and Lil are unhappy about it and deny it, so many people consider them to be a separate group from me.
The same umbrella statement is not good enough for Cliff and Margaret.
“…… Huh” (Ryouta)
“What’s wrong” (Neptune)
“Do those two …… rings mean anything to them” (Ryouta)
Lan and Lil have a style of magic called God Press and Devil Curse, respectively, which strengthens Neptune.
So I thought, “Does this ring make sense ……
“There is.” (Neptune)
“Hey, is the effect of that real time Or just when it’s activated” (Ryouta)
“Huh I’m not sure how it worked, …….” (Neptune)
“Sorry, I’ve just remembered something to do.
I’ll transfer the money.” (Ryouta)
I chug the rest of my beer, get up and leave the shop.
It reminded me of the magic we’ve all grown accustomed to and don’t use much anymore.
