We descended Nihonium dungeon at a steady pace.
The monsters in the latter half of the dungeon require a special way to defeat them, but I’ve already conquered them and know how to defeat them all.
I followed them up with restraining and Speed Up bullets so that Yuki could defeat them.
For each one I defeated, Yuki’s costume and ability increased by one.
Then, the ninth floor of Nihonium.
The last dragon zombie was defeated by Yuki after applying Tears of Time.
After defeating it, Yuki stared at the palm of her hand.
This was a reaction I hadn’t seen in the previous eight levels.
“What’s wrong” (Ryouta)
‘No it’s just that, nothing seemed to have changed..
Did I do something wrong” (Yuki)
“Nothing changed” (Ryouta)
“Yes, until now, when I defeated a monster, I would hear a kind of fanfare in my head saying, [Aah, a new power has arrived.]” (Yuki)
It’s like a level-up sound.
“Only this time, it didn’t happen.” (Yuki)
Are you sure it’s not going up” (Ryouta)
“Yes, up until the ninth.” (Yuki)
“I see…… Wait ninth kind” (Ryouta)
“Yes, there are nine.” (Yuki)
“…… What was the first one like when you became a unique monster” (Ryouta)
“Wait a minute.” (Yuki)
Yuki then changed her form, once via the slime form.
“Here it is.” (Yuki)
“I think your ability was …….” (Ryouta)
“Luck is S.” (Yuki)
Without using the portable Know-It-board, Yuki answered.
She seemed to have a good grasp of her own abilities.
“I remember now.
The last thing I raised was my luck.” (Ryouta)
I remembered something from a while ago, just before I had actually met Nihonium.
I had defeated a dragon zombie and got E luck.
Then when I went in front of the spiri’s room, I found out that all abilities had to be SS to proceed.
Everything else was already SS, and I got the last bit of luck by farming around the dragon zombie.
And the first ability that came with Yuki when she became a unique monster was luck.
Getting the ability by defeating monsters with Nihonium coincides with the last ability I gave her by turning her into a unique monster.
That can’t be a coincidence, can it
Well, whatever the case may be.
“I guess that means we now have nine different kinds.” (Ryouta)
“Is that so” (Yuki)
“I think so.” (Ryouta)
Yuki smiled with a hint of happiness.
“Well then, there’s no point coming back to this place.
Shall we go back” (Ryouta)
We turned back.
There was no need for Yuki to defeat the monsters, so I decided to defeat them on the way back.
We went back to where the transportation gate is, which is on the first floor.
I immediately encountered a dragon zombie, with a count of 99, but I quickly defeated it with repetition.
The dragon zombie disappeared, and the stairs leading down appeared.
Yuki looked at it and wondered.
“Wasn’t this dungeon supposed to be the ninth floor” (Yuki)
“Normally, yes, but this one is an exception, as it leads down to the Spirit Room.” (Ryouta)
“I see.” (Yuki)
“What’s the matter, Papa” (Yuki)
“Let’s go down.” (Ryouta)
“…… Okay.” (Yuki)
Yuki is curious, but doesn’t argue with my opinion.
Yuki took Vanadium’s hand and we walked down the stairs together.
The room is a strange mix of nostalgia and eeriness.
A five-meter square cube, a pulsating block of rotting flesh.
The creepy object was there, exactly the same as before.
“What’s this” *Yuki)
“Aren’t you creeped out by it” *Ryouta)
I somehow asked.
It feels like me.” (Yuki)
“I see.” (Ryouta)
My sense is that this is a frightening and disgusting object, but Yuki, the unique monster——–seems not to be so frightened because she is a kindred spirit.
The spirit, Vanadium, was also rather amused, poking at the pulsating, vein-like area.
“So, what are you going to do, Papa” (Yuki)
“Here’s the know-it-board.
Try to measure your abilities.” (Ryouta)
Just as I had done in the past, Yuki used the know-it-board to measure her abilities.
But nothing happened.
“I’ll have to do it myself I think.” (Ryouta)
I mumbled to myself and measured my abilities on the know-it-board.
After the screen read “All SS”, the lump melted down and a monster appeared.
Dragon Zombie on count 9.
“Here it comes.
I’ll put a Tears of Time on it.
Try to defeat it.” (Ryouta)
Just as I had done upstairs, I poured on the Tears of time and let Yuki defeat the dragon zombie.
Then, a three-necked dog with an “8” count appeared.
It was the same as when I went to see Nihonium.
I wanted Yuki to do this one time as a dungeon strategy.
Unlike me, Yuki doesn’t have magic or a gun.
“Same as before, I’ll split its neck.” (Ryouta)
Instead, I turn my power to S so I can stop it and take it down.
I’ll fire a Homing shot and then shoot a W-Speed Up shot at myself to stop time.
Just before the tracking shot hits it, I pop the shot itself and separate the remaining two heads and point them at each other.
Yuki blew off the heads with a single blow.
One by one, they were taken down.
Count 7, Electric Mummy.
Count 6, Poison Zombie.
Count 5, Red Skeleton.
Count 4, Special Mummy.
Count 3, Mummy.
Count 2, Zombie.
Count one, skeletons.
When all of them were defeated——-the entrance did not appear.
Yuki’s body glowed slightly for a moment, but that was it.
The stairs did not appear.
No, the stairs were not important at this point.
The important thing is–
“How is it Do you have any new powers” (Ryouta)
“Well, there’s none …….” (Yuki)
“None at all” (Ryouta)
“Yes, …….” (Yuki)
Yuki looks up at me in disappointment.
Did I do something wrong Or do I need to devise something to make it work with Yuki’s measurements, or is there nothing there
With that in mind, I somehow measured my abilities again.
“Wait what” (Ryouta)
The lump of meat was still there, but I couldn’t believe my eyes at the status displayed.
